When can Arsenal win the Premier League?

16 de março de 2026

Arsenal are nine points clear at the top of the Premier League, but when can they officially win the title?

Arsenal are closing in on a first Premier League title in 22 years after opening a nine-point gap at the top of the table by beating Everton and seeing title rivals Manchester City drop points at West Ham . The Gunners have 70 points after 31 games, while City have 61 points after 30 matches. Arsenal can finish on 91 points if they win all their remaining games, while City can achieve a maximum of 85 points. City have a game in hand over Arsenal and also host the Gunners at the Etihad on 19 April, but the title is now firmly out of their hands. The fixture between City and Crystal Palace is yet to be re-arranged, but it could take place between matchweek 32 and 33 if both clubs are knocked out of Europe. If Arsenal win all of their remaining fixtures, including beating City, they can be crowned champions with two games to spare with a draw at West Ham on 9 May. But if City drop points before Arsenal 's trip to London Stadium, and Arsenal maintain their winning run, the title will be decided even earlier. However, if City win all their remaining league fixtures - including beating Arsenal - and the Gunners win all their other league matches, the title race will go to the final day of the season. But Arsenal also have a vastly superior goal difference to City, currently seven ahead of their challengers. Opta's calculations put Arsenal 's chance of winning the title at 97.42%.
